Anklet Woodstone (Petrified Wood)

from €18.22

4 mm Wood Stone beads with a touch of blue lampwork glass

* stainless steel accessories

Petrified wood (also known as Wood Stone) attracts me especially because of its long history, started 390 million years ago. To this day, it stands as a symbol of man's genuine connection to the natural world.

Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay due to oxygen and organisms. Then, groundwater rich in dissolved solids flows through the sediment, replacing the original plant material with silica, calcite, pyrite or another inorganic material such as opal. The result is a fossil of the original woody material that often exhibits preserved details of the bark, wood and cellular structures.

Petrified wood helps its owner to feel safe and secure, calming fears of survival. Petrified wood assists in setting a pace and staying with that pace all day long. It can assist anyone who is feeling stuck or experiencing being frozen in time.
